The Alpha Tau Omega, Zeta Upsilon chapter chartered March 12, 1966 and is America's Leadership Development Fraternity. ATO is dedicated to excellence in all areas of fraternity life, including academics, community service, philanthropy, campus involvement and brotherhood. This chapter is one of the up and coming fraternities at UNK and we are searching for gentlemen who not only want to get involved immediately but wish to make this chapter one of the top at UNK and in the country.

Scholarships

Each year, Alpha Tau Omega provides the Incoming Freshman Scholarship worth $500. The scholarship is available for any incoming freshman male. The application can be located on our web site, www.unkato.org. Filling out the application is simple and should only take a few minutes.

Chapter Facts

While having fun is one of our main goals, we put a heavy emphasis on academics. ATO was awarded Most Improved GPA at the Fall 2008 Scholarship Banquet. Your grades while in college will determine your career path once you graduate and as a member of Alpha Tau Omega, you have brothers who will push you to do the very best you can. But being a true brotherhood, we are also their to assist you, with many current members and alumni who share similar majors, who are more than willing to help you if in need. Another area of emphasis is our dedication to community service and philanthropy. Each year, Alpha Tau Omega volunteers for the ARC of Buffalo County, American Red Cross, United Way, Relay for Life and many more. During the 2008-2009 academic year, ATO volunteered nearly 1,000 hours of service and donated more than $1,000 to the Future Teaching Learning Community and the American Red Cross. 92% of the chapter is also involved with other organizations outside of the chapter at UNK. Plus, ATO is actively involved with intramurals such as football, basketball, dodge ball, pitch, etc.
