About Our Chapter

Zeta Upsilon Chapter

Welcome all!  Thanks for visiting the Zeta Upsilon chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.  Look around the website at all of our features, including our member biographies, our officers page and most importantly, our recruitment and alumni relations sections.

Our chapter is located at the University of Nebraska-Kearney in Kearney, NE...one of two Alpha Tau Omega chapters in the state.

The Zeta Upsilon chapter is dedicated to excellence in all areas of fraternity life, including academics, community service, philanthropy and campus involvement.  We are looking for interested young men who are searching for the full college experience while attending school.  This chapter is one of the up and coming fraternities on the UNK campus and we are searching for gentlemen who wish to make this chapter one of the top in the country.

While having fun is one of our main goals, we put a heavy emphasis on academics, which is why any student attends college in the first place.  Your grades while in college will determine your career path once you graduate and as a member of Alpha Tau Omega, you have brothers who will push you to do the very best you can.  But being a true brotherhood, we are also their to assist you, with many current members and alumni who share similar majors, who are more than willing to help you if in need.  Another area of emphasis within Zeta Upsilon is our dedication to community service and philanthropy.  Last year we spent time volunteering for the ARC of Buffalo County, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and many more.  Zeta Upsilon volunteered over 1000 hours and donated more than $2,000 to various organizations.  Learn more about what we do in the Academics and Philanthropy sections.

One area where we look to give our brothers the full college experience by getting them involved on campus.  We encourage our brothers to become a part of at least one student organization on campus where they can further get to research their career path or learn more about a hobby or interest.  Last year, over 90 percent of our members were involved with different student organizations, including Peer Health, the Art Society, intramurals, Locke and Key and many more.  With over 100 different organizations on the UNK campus, there is certainly one that will fit your liking.

Please, check out our other areas on this website if you are interested in becoming a brother in the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, there is too much to describe to fit on one page.  Check out the contact page to contact one of our fine members about joining, or to set up a tour of the house and meet the brothers.

Thanks again for showing interest in our fraternity as we look forward in making this the best chapter it could possibly be!
